Strengthening FOSTEC’s Presence in the Polish Defense Market and Expanding the Application of WBEAM and Expanded Beam Solutions
FOSTEC participated in MSPO 2026, held in Kielce, Poland, from September 8 to 10, 2026, where the company engaged with key stakeholders in the Polish defense and national security industries to discuss various opportunities for technical and business cooperation.
At the exhibition, FOSTEC showcased its high-reliability optical communication solutions, including WBEAM, Expanded Beam Connectors, FORJ, and SEAFOC, while exploring potential applications across various defense sectors, including military communication and network systems.
In particular, FOSTEC visited major Polish defense companies and defense research institutions together with its local partner, Fibicon, to discuss technical requirements and potential product applications. The meetings identified a range of projects where FOSTEC’s WBEAM products could potentially replace existing CTOS and other optical connector solutions.
Through meetings with key defense-related organizations and companies, FOSTEC identified new opportunities for the application of WBEAM and Expanded Beam Connectors, as well as potential projects that could lead to future RFQs.
FOSTEC also agreed with a Polish defense research institution to proceed with local testing and performance evaluation of WBEAM products. Depending on the test results, further discussions will explore the standardization and expanded application of WBEAM across Polish military equipment.
In addition, the company identified potential applications beyond the defense sector, including SEAFOC and FORJ solutions for underwater systems and Expanded Beam connectivity solutions for high-speed computing systems.
Through its participation in MSPO 2026, FOSTEC gained valuable insights into market demand and customer interest in its optical communication solutions in Poland, while establishing a strong foundation for identifying new projects and expanding product applications in cooperation with local partners.
Going forward, FOSTEC will continue to strengthen its partnership with Fibicon and expand its local technical and sales activities to increase the adoption of WBEAM and other high-reliability optical communication solutions in the Polish defense market and further expand its business presence across the European defense market.
