FOSTEC, a leading provider of optical communication solutions, participated in ECOC 2026, held in Malaga, Spain, from September 21 to 23, strengthening its understanding of next-generation optical communication technologies and exploring new opportunities for global business collaboration.
ECOC 2026 brought together approximately 340 companies and more than 10,000 visitors, showcasing next-generation optical communication technologies for AI data centers, including CPO, NPO, and XPO, as well as high-speed optical communication technologies reaching 3.2 Tb and 6.4 Tb and various technology demonstrations.
During the exhibition, FOSTEC visited approximately 60 companies and held more than 25 business meetings. Discussions with major companies from Europe and the Middle East focused on the market application of FOSTEC’s optical communication products, including WBEAM, FOBEX, and FORJ, as well as NATO-related certification and testing, local production, and maintenance cooperation, identifying opportunities to expand into the global defense market.
FOSTEC also explored potential collaborations with domestic and international companies in the CPO and AI data center sectors, discussing next-generation optical communication technologies such as Fiber Array, optical packaging, and alignment technologies, while laying the foundation for expanding its business into the data center market.
