FOSTEC, a specialized provider of optical communication solutions, attended AUSA 2026, one of the world's largest land defense exhibitions, held in Washington, D.C., from October 12 to 14, to explore global defense market trends and identify new business opportunities.
Organized by the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), the exhibition brings together defense companies and military representatives from around the world to showcase advanced weapon systems and emerging defense technologies.
During the event, FOSTEC explored future defense technology trends, including autonomous combat systems, AI-based command and control, and unmanned systems. The company also examined optical interconnection technologies used in various weapon systems and reviewed application cases across different countries. These activities provided valuable technical insights for future defense projects and prototype development, while allowing FOSTEC to assess opportunities to apply its optical communication products in overseas projects involving local manufacturing.
FOSTEC also engaged with domestic and international defense industry representatives and partner companies to explore new business opportunities and strengthen its cooperation network. In particular, the company reviewed potential opportunities related to additional Cheongung-II (M-SAM) export programs and overseas maritime defense projects, laying the groundwork for future business development and order acquisition.
Building on the market insights and technical information gained through AUSA 2026, FOSTEC plans to strengthen its business development efforts for mid- and long-term defense projects and continue expanding its presence in overseas defense markets. The company will also enhance the competitiveness of its optical communication solutions to meet global defense requirements and broaden its business opportunities through continued collaboration with domestic and international partners.
